For todays article, we are discussing influencers and their pay. Since the peak of social media, there have been a number of people who have turned to it to make money. In 2019 the term "beauty influencers" has been used to refer to people who give honest reviews about beauty products. There where the issue is when youtubers post too many sponsored videos, it could possibly make their audience trust them less. Researchers found that on average posting a sponsored video costs 0.02% of them subscribers within three days. That's actually a very bid deal for influencers because they loose $10,000 over 6 years which surprised me the most because that's half of their income gone. What I learned in this article is that it is important to be honest with people especially people that follow you. Another fact that surprise me is that even though influencers make money from their brand deals, it can actually harm there reputation in the long run .I learned that authenticity is key when it comes to influencer marketing. A quote that really stuck with me from this article .“Our finding is that, if you have a better fit, then the fit can really mitigate the reputation harm—because your audience is perceiving that this is more authentic. When it comes to fit, it matters not just what you post, but also how you post"
